Barbara Taylor is a Professional Astrologer certified by the International Society for Astrological Research (ISAR).  She is also an ordained minister in the Church of Religious Science and is a Registered Nurse, specializing in psychiatric nursing.  She is currently completing the requirements for a degree in transpersonal psychology.  A serious student of astrology for more than sixteen years, she specializes in the use of asteroids to provide detail and depth to the information given by the traditional planets, signs, and houses, using 70 asteroids plus personal name asteroids in her clients' charts. She  currently teaches introductory, intermediate, and advanced classes in Roanoke, VA, and presents workshops and seminars on astrological and spiritual topics nationally.

Classes: Introductory Astrology: The Philosophy of Astrology is a ten week course that covers the basics of astrological learning: signs, planets, houses and aspects, including the topics covered in the NCGR study guide.  Additionally, a bit of history, mythology, philosophy, and psychology are introduced to present a broad perspective to the art/science of astrology.  The basic asteroids are introduced.

Intermediate Astrology:  The continuation of the Introductory Class focuses on natal synthesis and interpretation, minor aspects, lunar phases, derived houses, fixed stars, declinations, auxiliary angles, antisia, progressions, direction, and transits.  Also covered are synastry and composite charts, solar and lunar returns, ingress and mundane charts, and astro-locality charts.  Asteroids and Centaurs are studied in more depth.

Advanced Astrology:  This Course includes Uranian and Cosmobiology theories and techiques, especially the use of dials.  Asteroids and Centaurs are covered extensively.  Other techniques, such as rectification, and research are discussed using the CCRS, AstroDatabank and Jigsaw computer programs.

Saranya Michele Tracey has been an astrologer for many years.
