Pauline Smith has a unique specialty in the astrology world. She is a death-transit astrologer, specializing in being wise after the event and who of us has not wondered about our loved ones once they have passed? Pauline is also a talented artist, having attended ST. Martin’s School of Art, and the Chelsea School of Art from 1962 through 1967. Her works have been displayed in public collections in both the UK and United States. She has combined these interests by looking at the transits to charts of celebrities at their death and paints texts within decorative borders consisting of her own interpretations. The works are meant to be framed and hung on the wall measuring about 42 x 30 inches, done in watercolors. Prices run 400 to 600 pounds and may be viewed at http://www.axisartists.org.uk/all/ref834.htm. Images available are Ficino, Manilius, Richard Burton, Evangeline Adams, Sigmund Freud and many others. Pauline pursued her interest in political activism from 1992 to 1996 and wrote articles in the astrological press aimed at raising awareness of the Pope’s hostile attitude to astrology as explicitly stated in his new catechism. This was followed by her focus on death transit astrology and the art depicting those charts. Pauline offers a short course in death-transit chart interpretation and can be contacted for inquires about her astrology specialty and her art at the address above.
